RN - ED (First Shift)

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. They will also supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position.

Responsibilities

• Identify and care for patients as needed
• Work as a team player and supervise other nursing personnel
• Keep neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Show a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families
• Use superb organizational skills when managing supplies and equipment
• Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations
• Show proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems

Requirements

• Education: Associate of Nursing (Required), Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
• Licenses: New York RN (Required)
• Certifications: BLS (Preferred)
• Experience: Nursing: 2 years (Preferred), Emergency Department experience (Preferred)

Pay

Nurses' Union Pay Scale: $36.37 - $53.61/hour
