About the Role

Join the Emergency Department at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), a Level I Trauma Magnet Facility practicing at the highest level in emergency care. This fast-paced unit cares for high-acuity patients with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and includes 80 beds. The ED leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and professional growth.

Open positions are full-time, with shifts available from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (nights).

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to high-acuity patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe passage and quality outcomes for patients.
  • Engage in continuous learning, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in unit-based councils and shared governance to drive nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to evidence-based practice, research, and innovation in nursing.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Active RN – Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience.
  • BLS – Basic Life Support certification (required within 30 days of hire).
