This role is full time, 36 hours per week, with a rotational schedule including days, nights, and weekend requirements.

About the Role

E7 PCU/BMT/Surgical Oncology at West Penn Hospital is a 16-bed unit for oncology step-down patients. You will be expected to successfully complete anticancer therapy classes and become competent in the administration of chemotherapy within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.

  • Assesses and documents changes in patient condition, notifies physicians/supervisors, and intervenes appropriately.
  • Accepts assignments in areas outside the primary unit and performs duties within individualized competency.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous lifelong learning for self and others.
  • Promotes advancement of the profession through participation in professional organizations.
  • Seeks formal and independent learning activities using current research and evidence to maintain and develop clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred.
