RN - Dialysis Center

Role Overview Serves as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients undergoing dialysis, primarily focusing on in-center hemodialysis with knowledge of home therapies and acute dialysis. Collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver and manage patient care through the nursing process. Key Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care, assessment, and coordination of dialysis treatments, including in-center, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis.Develop and evaluate individualized care plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.Assess patient status, perform bedside lab testing, and ensure safety checks on equipment.Supervise and mentor Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and process enhancements.Educate patients and families with age-appropriate and culturally sensitive teaching strategies, ensuring comprehension and safety.Coordinate interdisciplinary care, advocate for patients, and utilize resources to resolve clinical issues effectively. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Strong clinical expertise in dialysis care, with excellent assessment, technical, and critical thinking skills.Ability to educate, communicate effectively, and collaborate within a healthcare team.Commitment to safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
