RN - Dialysis

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Nursing Administration Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital.
About the role
The Registered Nurse will set up, perform, and take down dialysis treatments for a variety of patients. The role requires travel to all campuses, coordination with nephrologists to prioritize therapies, access to dialysis catheters and fistulas, adherence to established standards of practice, accurate charging and documentation, and advocacy for patients in line with the facility’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Set up, perform, and take down dialysis treatments.
- Travel to all Avita campuses as needed.
- Prioritize dialysis therapies with nephrologists based on patient needs.
- Access dialysis catheters and fistulas for treatments.
- Follow established standards of practice.
- Charge and document treatments accurately and efficiently.
- Serve as a patient advocate, upholding the facility’s mission.
Qualifications
- Previous dialysis nurse experience (required).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate program.
- 1–2 years nursing experience in an acute care/critical care environment.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
