Responsibilities
- Assesses and reassesses patients, completing focused reassessments as needed.
- Administers medications and carries out procedures according to hospital policies.
- Maintains the environment of care and implements infection control practices.
- Communicates effectively with other caregiving staff and performs hand-offs using SBAR format.
- Educates patients and caregivers on the plan of care and HAC and infection control practices.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop individualized plans for achieving desired patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- RN License and BLS certification.
- Basic nursing skills, proficient communication and interpersonal skills, time management, and organizational skills.
- Astute observational and assessment skills, proper body mechanics, and knowledge of hospital computer systems.
