Job Summary

As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

Essential Functions

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.

Qualifications

• Accredited program
• Day Surgery, procedural, medical surgical, step down experience preferred
• Must have excellent IV skills
• TX RN, ACLS, BLS and PALS

Pay

• $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time
• Shift differentials: $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, $6 for weekends (stackable as applicable)

Schedule

• Location: BSW Medical Center-Lake Pointe, 6800 Scenic Drive, Rowlett, 75088
• Unit: Day Surgery
• Hours: 6am‑6pm, Monday‑Friday (call required; must report to hospital within 30 minutes)
• Weekly requirement: three 12‑hour shifts for the 13‑week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation)
• First week: Monday‑Friday orientation
• Assignment is a short‑term (13‑week) Baylor employee role, with potential to convert to regular FT, PT, or PRN after completion
