Overview
The Critical Care Clinical Coordinator will support the department's operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and assist with staff development.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practices.
- Evaluate service practices, identify opportunities to improve patient experience, and take appropriate actions to enhance satisfaction.
- Facilitate a collaborative work environment, on-board, orient, qualify, and develop staff to meet performance goals.
- Communicate between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, monitor unit performance metrics, and contribute to quality improvement projects.
- Audit compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in the critical care setting.
- Support crisis management, patient flow, and other operational challenges within the unit.
Qualifications
- Education: Program Graduate, Nursing (Required); High School Diploma or GED, HS Diploma/GED only required if graduate from a nursing diploma program (Required or Associates Degree, Nursing (Preferred); Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred)).
- Experience: 2 years Critical Care RN experience (Required); 1 year Charge Nurse experience (Preferred).
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required); CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required).
