Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Maintains standard unit activities in the absence of the Head Nurse.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Affirms and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Complexity of Work
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Certifications & Clearance Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
