Job Summary
To support and coordinate clinical quality improvement initiatives. To perform job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose.
Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in healthcare management, healthcare quality improvement, case management, performance improvement, or direct patient care.
- Required: Valid RN License
Responsibilities
- Captures ongoing clinical quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and committees to assure that evidence-based clinical quality goals and outcomes are developed and implemented using appropriate standards of care.
- Serves as liaison as appropriate.
- Edits and educates others on clinical quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensures integration of clinical quality improvement initiatives into the day-to-day operations.
- Provides feedback to medical staff and administration regarding outcomes from clinical improvement initiatives during and after implementation, and regarding outcomes of performance measures of clinical pathways.
- Serves as a mentor and facilitator to clinical outcome improvement teams.
- Creates templates for streamlining clinical outcomes improvement team development, pathway development and implementation.
- Serves on at least one nursing council, hospital, or medical center committee, task force, or project team to improve patient care or work area.
- Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Requires occasional travelling to offsite locations.
- Occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature.
- Occasional work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
