RN – Clinical Operations Supervisor

About the Role

The Clinical Supervisor assures delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective care provided by competent co-workers. They ensure efficient utilization of available resources to meet productivity and financial goals. The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians, and co-workers to communicate and improve processes across the continuum. They ensure units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care and are proactively involved in patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office.

Clinical Supervisors hold direct and indirect care providers accountable for their professional responsibilities and adherence to policy and regulatory guidelines. They perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards and are involved in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager as directed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrative personnel, physicians, and co-workers to improve processes
• Ensure appropriate unit staffing for patient care
• Proactively manage patient flow and bed management issues
• Inspire and lead change with enthusiasm
• Model professional standards and a positive attitude
• Provide support, mentorship, and guidance to direct care providers
• Encourage and recognize co-workers through servant leadership
• Hold care providers accountable for professional responsibilities and policy adherence
• Participate in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program
• Current RN license with the Board of Nursing in the applicable State of practice
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card (or completion within probation period)
• TNCC, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS certifications

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Demonstrated skills in human relations and communication (written, verbal, and electronic)
• Clinical competence in patient care delivery
• Ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate level of care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Pay

Shift differential: $3.25 for evenings, $4.00 for nights, $4.00 for weekends.
