About the role
At UNC Health, we’re building something exceptional and we’re looking for experienced, driven Registered Nurses to help lead the way. Our newly launched Central Staffing Office is a dynamic, system-wide internal staffing pool to support UNC Medical Center and UNC Rex Campuses.
Responsibilities
- Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Director for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process across UNC Health hospital settings.
- Floats to a minimum of four UNC Hospital locations with the ability to float between at least two acuity levels of care or specialties (e.g., intermediate and critical care).
Requirements
- Education: Graduation from a school of professional nursing. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Other relevant life support credentials based upon clinical level of care (e.g., ACLS or NRP, dependent upon clinical grouping assignment).
- Experience: Five (5) years of nursing experience.

Pay
$46.00 plus applicable shift differentials.
Schedule
8 or 12 hours per week. Shifts: 8-hour or 12-hour options.
