About the role
The UNC Hospitals Children's Specialty Clinic seeks a RN Clinical Nurse II to join the GI, Allergy/Immunology Clinic. The clinic operates from 8 am to 5 pm and requires staff to start as early as 7:30 am. The role offers 4 or 5-day work weeks.
Responsibilities
- Routine triage/rooming of patients
- Injections
- Infusions
- Drug challenges (assessments)
- Drawing labs
- Processing labs and allergy skin testing
Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Skills
- Competent clinical nursing care
- Uses the nursing process in a hospital setting
- Coordinates and delivers patient care
- Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care
- Develops relationships with families that promote their ability to advocate for the patient and their own needs
- Prioritizes tasks for patients with complex problems
Benefits
This role qualifies for a $10,000 commitment incentive paid out in equal installments over the course of 3 years.
Pay
$34.22 - $48.38 per hour (Hiring Range)
