Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in the Clinical Care Leader (CCL) role facilitates health care services for patients in cooperation with the health care team. Demonstrates strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to analyze data and appropriately respond to changing situations. Effective communication skills to collaborate, negotiate, and resolve conflicts, situations, and/or issues with peers, inter-professional colleagues, patients and families. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, clinical support staff and the public. Serves as a mentor to staff while assisting in facilitating the overall clinic activities. Participates and may serve in leadership roles on department/organizational task forces and committees.

The CCL role is ideal for someone who enjoys patient care, values teamwork and accountability, and is interested in expanding their influence within the organization while preparing for future leadership opportunities. Prior clinic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the clinic to ensure smooth workflow
  • Serve as a mentor to staff while assisting in facilitating the overall clinic activities
  • Support the team through mentoring, coaching, and education
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve efficiency and patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
  • Minimum of two years’ clinical experience
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
  • Functions within the legal scope of practice
