About the role

Provide patient care in support of cardiovascular physicians, performing various Registered Nurse duties. Must have cardiology knowledge or a willingness to learn and expand expertise in cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients, document vital signs, and communicate with physicians
• Assist with exams, orders, injections, and patient education
• Maintain accurate electronic records and handle phone calls
• Perform blood work, assist with Coumadin clinics, and pacemaker duties
• Assist with insurance pre-certifications, supply ordering, and clinic checks
• Help staff other clinics and perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• Current IL RN license
• 1–2 years cardiology experience preferred or willingness to learn
• BLS certification
• Complete EKG and cardiology courses within 12 months
• Strong communication skills and cardiology knowledge
