About the role

The Cardiac Admissions and Recovery Charge Nurse at BayCare is responsible for managing a specialized patient group with effective managerial skills. This role requires proficiency in cardiac care and acts as a mentor and resource expert.

Responsibilities

• Manages a specialized group of cardiac patients
• Acts as a professional role model for the nursing team
• Supports and shares organizational information with all team members
• Performs the roles of preceptor and charge nurse
• Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies clinical excellence

Requirements

• RN license is required
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• BSN or BS in a healthcare-related field or an RN
• Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion
• Experience: 2 years as a licensed RN

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized specialty organization certification

• Effective managerial skills
• Profound knowledge of cardiac care
