RN Charge Med Surg
Our Med Surg Unit is a 29-bed unit with an attached 7-bed ICU. We care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, primarily medical cases. Surgical cases include bariatric, total joint, abdominal, podiatry, and more.

About the role
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as defined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds ANA standards of professional performance in ethical practice, culturally congruent care, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality of practice, professional evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (Required within 5 years)
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required within 6 months)

Schedule
- Full-time, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 36 scheduled hours per week
- Variable days with a set core schedule
- Every other weekend required
Primary work location: Med Surg Care Unit, 2nd Floor, Zeeland Hospital.
