About the role
As an RN Charge CNC Med Surg, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn—whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. You will serve as a valuable resource to staff Registered Nurses on our Med Surg unit while also delivering high quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
- In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”
- Serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
- Applies principles of cardiac and medical-surgical nursing in providing patient care.
- Maintains a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment commonly used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
- Provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Provides pre-operative and post-operative patient teaching and education related to specific surgical procedures or adaptations in health status resulting from treatment.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Hampshire RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years applicable experience
Schedule
- Night shift available: 7 pm – 7 am
