About the role

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN), you will care for patients before and after receiving care in the Cath Lab setting. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care as part of a collaborative team. Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility includes an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), the only Burn Center in Idaho, and the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. We also operate a 74-bed Behavioral Health Center for inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures by performing tasks associated with the registered nurse role (e.g., scrub, recording, circulating).
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
  • Assist with activities to facilitate effective and efficient use of resources during pre- and post-procedure phases.
  • Provide technical support to physicians during invasive cardiology procedures as a scrub technician, circulator, or recorder.
  • Visually monitor the patient’s hemodynamic parameters, physical condition, and EKG; alert the physician of abnormal conditions and record/monitor blood pressures received through catheters.

Requirements

  • Current Idaho RN license in good standing.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) certification.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
  • 2+ years of critical care experience strongly preferred (e.g., Cath lab, ICU, PACU).
