Responsibilities
- Affirms patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records and clinical data.
- Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
- Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
- Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching.
- Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs.
- Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
- Maintains thorough patient charts and records and documents ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
- Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.
- Uses standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.
- Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.
- Maintains all required registries and licenses for performing Invasive Cardiology procedures.
- Skilled in operating x-ray equipment and knowledgeable in placing service calls.
- Adheres to Basic Radiation Safety concepts to minimize exposure levels for patients and staff.
- Capable of learning and becoming independent in various roles such as scrub, record, and circulate positions for Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiovascular cases.
- Documents and reports all procedures accurately and legibly in accordance with department policies.
Qualifications
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- Field Of Study N/A
- Work Experience 1+ year experience preferred nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty [Required]

- Maintains all required registries and licenses for performing Invasive Cardiology procedures
- Skilled in operating x-ray equipment and knowledgeable in placing service calls
