RN Cath Lab
Job Summary
As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath Lab registered nurse, you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures.
- Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
- Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
- Adequately perform the SBAR process for hand-off communication.
- Assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
- Manage emergent cases.
- Maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records and complete all paperwork associated with these procedures.
- Prepare tests for physician interpretation.
Qualifications
- Current State of Idaho RN license in good standing.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- 1+ years of Cath Lab experience preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support or obtain within 90 days of date of hire.
- One or more years of Cath Lab RN experience required.
