Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Practice within the scope of license, certification or registration, where applicable, and as required by law and regulation
- Assess the patient's physical and mental health including the patient's reaction to illnesses and treatment regimens
- Record and report the results of the nursing assessment
- Plan, initiate, deliver, and evaluate appropriate nursing acts
- Teach, assign, or supervise other personnel in implementing the treatment regimen
- Collaborate with other health care providers in determine the appropriate patient and family-centered plan
- Implement the treatment and pharmaceutical regimen prescribed by any person authorized by State law to prescribe the regimen
- Provide teaching and counseling about the patient's health
- Report and record the plan for care, nursing care given, and the patient's response to that care
- Supervise, teach, and evaluate those who perform nursing functions and administer nursing programs and nursing services
- Provide for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care, whether rendered directly or indirectly
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be willing and able to care for patients with infectious disease processes unless approved accommodations
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrate basic data entry skills

Qualifications
- Experience: Two years of clinical experience preferred
- Licensures & Certifications: (if applicable) Valid NC RN license
- Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance
