RN Case Manager- Recuperative Care Center - Weekend hours

About the role

The Deborah Smith Walsh Recuperative Care Center (RCC) is seeking a talented and compassionate RN Case Manager to join their team. You will work alongside people who share your drive and compassion, providing support for respite patients at the RCC's medical respite program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ensure all patient needs are met, adhering to established policies and procedures and Department of Public Health regulations.
• Engage patients with substance use disorder in a way consistent with Harm Reduction Principles and provide risk reduction counseling and treatment referrals.
• Communicate pertinent abnormal test results to providers, including knowledge of opioid overdose management and brief interventions.
• Utilize skills to interact effectively with patients, clients, team members, and staff from other departments.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, current Massachusetts licensure, and BLS certification.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Khmer, or Russian with knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous community health or ambulatory experience preferred.
• Understanding of substance abuse and mental health issues.
• A desire to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
