RN Care Center Nights

About the role

You will be responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit. Utilizes assessment, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life for the patient/family unit. Provides oversight and supervision of the LPN and/or aide for the delivery of patient care in the GIP environment. Required to float if needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate patient/family needs
• Provide preventive and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families
• Utilize assessment, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and enhance quality of life
• Oversee and supervise LPNs and/or aides in delivering patient care in the GIP environment
• Float to other areas as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent bedside nursing experience
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License
• Minimum of 1 year of current active nursing experience; experience in caring for terminally ill patients or those with life-threatening illnesses preferred
• Prefer one (1) year experience in an acute or post-acute care setting

Schedule

Night shift: 8 p.m. – 8 a.m., every other weekend
