RN - Cardiac Stepdown, Nights

About the role

Seeking a registered nurse for a full-time role in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU). In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex cardiovascular and thoracic patient care, including post-operative surgery, CHF, arrhythmias, STEMI, pulmonary issues, kidney failure, overdoses, and step-down patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient transitions.
• Support a fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary collaboration, teamwork, and opportunities for skill development.
• Participate in structured orientation, mentorship, and career growth opportunities, including cross-training into specialty areas.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact license.
• Preferred hospital experience; BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various nursing duties.
