About the role
The Ambulatory Nurse provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice. Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate. Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups. Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students. Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes. Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders. Triage patient phone calls. Assist in procedures in the Injection Suite. Start IVs. MRI and Injection screenings. Patient education for surgeries and injections. Remove staples or stitches. Assist MDs with office procedures. Surgery scheduling.

- Affords assistance in the development of departmental standing orders.
- Triage patient phone calls.
- Affords assistance in procedures in the Injection Suite.
- Starts IVs.
- MRI and Injection screenings.
- Patient education for surgeries and injections.
- Removes staples or stitches.
- Affords assistance to MDs with office procedures.
- Surgery scheduling.
Requirements
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
Education: College Diploma: Nursing (Required).
Qualifications
College Diploma: Nursing (Required).
Skills
Systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

$33.11 per hour - $53.88 per hour.
Schedule
Open to 4 or 5 days per week Mon-Fri: 4 x10's or 5x8's.
