Responsibilities

• Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of trends, developments, and regulatory requirements impacting nursing practice.
• Administer, oversee, and document medication administration (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, and intravenously) as ordered by healthcare practitioners and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assess patients to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs.
• Gather relevant data for patient care, implement appropriate interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Plan care based on initial and ongoing assessments, providing holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice.
• Prepare patients for discharge and coordinate post-discharge needs.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence, using effective communication tools and understanding how patient culture affects care.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills associated with the department’s defined patient populations served.
• Engage in professional growth and demonstrate self-accountability to meet deadlines for mandatory requirements.
• Document care delivered and patient status using the nursing process in accordance with FHS standards, including changes in condition, responses to interventions, and reassessments.
• Receive and ensure the appropriateness, accuracy, timeliness, and execution of physician orders.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Active Washington State Registered Nurse license (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (required upon hire).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months of hire).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• One year of related work experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump experience (preferred).
• Critical RN experience in Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute care (preferred).

Pay

$48.36 - $85.71 per hour.
