Our unit specializes in advanced renal and dialysis care, including hemodialysis, continuous cycler peritoneal dialysis (CCPD), and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Nurses are highly trained in telemetry, ensuring close monitoring and optimal patient outcomes. With a 4:1 patient ratio, we ensure manageable workloads, allowing for high-quality care and better patient interactions.
Our unit thrives on strong interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with physicians, dialysis specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional, holistic patient care based on the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent, holistic care to patients and families under the direction of the nurse director/charge nurse.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring renal and dialysis care, including hemodialysis, CCPD, and CAPD.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and dialysis specialists.
Requirements
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in the State of Missouri.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from AHA within one year of hire.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- One year of medical/surgical nursing experience (preferred).
