About the role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RNs at Catholic Health are responsible for assessing, monitoring, administering medication, and managing overall care for premature and critically ill babies in a Level III NICU. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, RNs, and ancillary staff, to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Additionally, they advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients' loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Passion for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in the NICU, Level III preferred
  • Exposure to externship or capstone in the NICU
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (or enrollment in an accredited BSN program if pursuing an Associate's Degree)
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (or enrollment in an accredited BSN program if pursuing an Associate's Degree)

Skills

Pay

Salary Range: USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.
