About the role

Blakehurst is seeking Registered Nurses to join the team on a part‑time basis, providing high‑quality patient care to seniors in a Life Plan Community on a 40‑acre campus in Towson, MD.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on the shift.
• Administer direct care and prescribed medications as necessary.
• Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keep physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
• Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain residents' self‑respect, personal dignity, and physical safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Respond to resident emergency call system.
• Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
• Accompany physicians during rounds.
• Encourage restorative care to maximize resident independence.
• Participate in family/resident counseling as needed.
• Assist with orientation and evaluation of nursing personnel.
• Attend in‑service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Maryland.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 6 months of nursing experience in a long‑term care setting preferred.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screening (fitness‑for‑duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, employment references).
• Vaccination documentation or testing for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV) as required.

Pay

$35 – $45 per hour, based on years of experience, with evening/night shift differential included.

Schedule

Part‑time night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am on alternating Mondays & Thursdays and alternating Wednesdays.
