Blakehurst is a Life Plan Community situated on a beautiful 40-acre campus in Towson, MD, near Baltimore. Our goal is to enrich the lives of the over 300 seniors we serve by providing opportunities for residents to live life to the fullest.
Schedule
- Full-time: 7:00pm – 7:30am (Every other Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Weekend)
- Part-time: 7:00am-7:30pm (Every other Fri & Weekend)
- Part-time: 7:00pm-7:30am (Every other Mon, Wed, Fri; Every Thurs)
Pay
- RN: $35 - $45 / hour based on years of experience
- $2,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments
- Evening/night shift differential included

Responsibilities
- Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on assigned shift.
- Administer direct care as necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications to patients.
- Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keep physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
- Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Respond to resident emergency call system.
- Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
- Accompany physicians when making rounds.
- Encourage restorative care to obtain maximum resident independence.
- Participate in family/resident counseling, as necessary.
- Assist with the orientation and evaluation of nursing personnel.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Assure proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
Requirements
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State.
- Current CPR certification.
- Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields.
- At least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Must pass preemployment screening process, including a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment references.
- Some roles require proof of immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV).
