RN Assistant Director of Nursing

We provide skilled nursing care to people recently discharged from the hospital, needing therapy, and to those requiring long-term care.

About the role

Full-time, day shift with on-call rotation required. Long-term care leadership experience and an active RN Registered Nursing License are required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in care planning and ensure direct care providers follow established care plans; supplement hands-on care as needed.
• Provide clinical documentation and care audits; attend QA and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Make rounds to evaluate resident status and care provision.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and company health/safety regulations; assist with survey preparedness and manage the facility during survey inspections.
• Assist in interviewing, onboarding, managing schedules, assignments, and evaluating staff competency/performance.
• Lead in-service training and stay current on clinical best practices and facility protocols.
• Assume duties and authority of the Director of Nursing in their absence.
• Work alongside the interdisciplinary team to foster seamless care.
• Investigate and address complaints or grievances filed by staff, residents, or their families.

Requirements

• Licensed to work within the State of Delaware as an RN Registered Nurse.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, professional references check, and physical evaluation.
• Extensive clinical experience.
• Extensive long-term care experience serving in clinical leadership roles.
• In-depth understanding of federal, state, and county regulatory compliance.
