RN - Ambulatory Surgery

Location: 1 S. Park St., Madison, WI.

Schedule

100% full‑time, Monday – Friday, 10‑hour shifts with no weekends, holidays, overnights, or on‑call. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize acquired knowledge and skills related to perioperative nursing care, procedures, and equipment to provide safe, individualized patient care.
  • Assume overall responsibility for management of the assigned operating room.
  • Work in an outpatient OR setting that performs procedures on patients of all ages, including ENT, cataract, pain, hand, foot, orthopaedic (scopes), general, and some gynecologic surgeries.
  • Provide perioperative care for plastic surgery cases such as breast augmentations, reductions, abdominoplasties, liposuctions, gender‑mastectomies, and related procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant clinical experience (required).
  • Recent relevant operating‑room experience preferred; candidates with at least 1 year of OR experience are strongly preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or eligibility per state licensing regulations (required upon hire).
  • Basic Life Support/CPR (required upon hire).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire (required).
