RN AMBULATORY ENDOCRINE CLINIC

About the role

Moffitt Cancer Center’s Endocrine Clinic provides a dynamic working environment that cares for patients with endocrine disorders, pituitary disorders, hyper/hypothyroidism, thyroid cancers, adrenal disorders, and patients with diseases of the parathyroid gland. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We see approximately 30–45 patients per day. The clinic is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Integrates patient- and family-centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.

Qualifications

• BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with one year of relevant experience.
• FL RN License.
• BLS Certification.
• An applicant who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless successfully appealed for removal.

Skills

• 2 years of ambulatory/outpatient clinical experience.
• Oncology experience as a registered nurse.
• Medical–surgical experience.
• Strong phone communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Good computer skills.

Pay

Salary range: $35.91 – $54.55 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among team members in similar positions.
