About the role

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking an Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Hillsborough County. The position involves traveling throughout the service area, covering hospitals and the field (homes, ALF, LTC).

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care based on care program specifics, guidelines, and patient-specific needs.
• Complete the admission process for patients in accordance with care program specifics, guidelines, and patient-specific needs.
• Exhibit passion for the services offered and engage in mission support.
• Portray excellence in customer service and relationship-building internally and externally.

Requirements

• Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure: Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
• Florida State Driver’s License.

Qualifications

The Admissions RN must be passionate about the services provided and have excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. They should also be able to advocate for optimal access to the right care at the right time in any care setting.
