Responsibilities
- Admission and ongoing assessments of patients using physical and psychosocial assessment skills, diagnostic data, and medical evaluations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided against short and long-term patient goals.
- Develop a care plan for patients, anticipating their needs and implementing nursing actions and medical orders.
- Document care provided and patient responses in the patient's record.
- Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities, ensuring accountability for care provided by LPNs and non-licensed technical personnel.
- Demonstrate leadership through professional role modeling, consumer relations, communication skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and assisting in the orientation and training of personnel.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.
- Current Michigan RN license.
- At least 12 months experience in nursing care, including 3 months experience with maintenance Hemodialysis patients.
- Previous dialysis experience preferred.
