RN - 4 Days/wk - Over the Mountain Peds

About the role

Over The Mountain Pediatrics offers a part-time, benefited position at an 80% full-time equivalent (FTE) rate, working a day shift from Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations, antibiotics, allergy shots, and oral medications.
• Absorb and treat traumas, clean and prepare wounds for treatment.
• Administer nebulizer treatments for asthma patients.
• Perform catheterizations and IV therapy.
• Perform x-rays, file x-rays, and conduct selective lab work as directed by the physician.
• Conduct audio, visual tests, and tympanograms as required.
• Triage patient calls to determine if they need to be seen or can be prescribed medication, based on the physician's approval.
• Fill out forms needed by patients for daycare, schools, colleges, WIC forms, etc., and transfer information to charts.
• Call in prescriptions for patients who have called for advice and medication.
• Make appointments for patients to receive lab work, x-rays, and to other doctors and/or specialists, outside of our practice.
• Determine whether a referral is needed after making appointments and forward charts to the insurance department.
• Aid doctor's assistants in preparing patients for the physician's examination.
• Make referrals and precertifications to all health plans.
• Assist with patient education, such as asthma and diabetes.
• Order supplies and medications as needed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications:
• Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
• Non-AL NLC Multi State

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications

• Essential: Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
• Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
• Non-AL NLC Multi State
• Basic Life Support
