About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse at Cabell Huntington Hospital's 2 North Ortho Department is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervising other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegates patient care tasks to other patient care staff as appropriate.
• Supervises other patient care staff to ensure quality patient care is provided.
• Carefully coordinates the care for a group of patients.
• Consults with other members of the health care team as needed.

Requirements

Must have a current RN license in West Virginia.

Qualifications

Experience in orthopedic nursing preferred.

Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
