RMN Saw Operator

Essential Functions

• Lifts metal sheets, parts, and pieces into machines to make required cuts.
• Reads and understands body prints and a tape measure.
• Maintains inventory levels of metal parts to prevent shortages.
• Cleans and performs maintenance on saws.
• Ensures cuts meet angle grade and other specifications of the build.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
• High school diploma/GED.
• Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
• Saw operation in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience reading a tape measure preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Skills:
• Language: Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
• Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.
• Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Computer: General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, and Adobe/PDFs. Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
• Abilities:
• Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
• Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
