About the Role

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with the Air Force to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical and risk details to assess the entire threat landscape, then guide your customers through a plan of action with preparation of body of evidence artifacts. Work with us as we protect our military's weapons systems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the compliance of a system against the Risk Management Framework (RMF) using DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Develop cybersecurity RMF body of evidence documentation such as System Security Plans or RMF Control Family Plans.
  • Develop and submit RMF Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience evaluating the compliance of a system against the Risk Management Framework (RMF) using DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Experience developing cybersecurity RMF body of evidence documentation.
  • Knowledge of developing and submitting RMF Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages in eMASS.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • DoD 8140 Certification.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Air Force RMF.
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Ports, Protocols, and Services Matrix, Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM), and Host Based Security System (HBSS).

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.

Work model expectations:

  • Remote: Generally remote, but may require occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, with possible visits to customer facilities.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.
