About the role

Ritual Coffee is seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic barista to join their team. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to customer service, teamwork, and quality, and be open to learning and growing within the company.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall culture and business growth using the Culture Guide
• Participate in or lead improvement committees and projects
• Ensure positive customer interactions and serve coffee to quality standards
• Stay knowledgeable about cafe offerings and be proactive within the team
• Follow all policies and maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment
• Handle customer situations with ease and provide feedback

Qualifications

• Love of coffee

• Strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High level of emotional intelligence
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to handle critical customer situations with ease
• Pay strong attention to detail and have passion for high quality products
• Experience in a customer service position
• Current Food Handler's Card

Physical Requirements

• Regular and consistent attendance
• Sit and work with hands and arms for at least 8 hours per day
• Stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull items weighing up to 20 pounds
• Work overtime occasionally at the last minute
• Communicate effectively and promptly to clients, vendors, and employees
• Perform moderately strenuous physical work and withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Compensation + Benefits

• Starting Barista wage is $19.75/hour plus tips
• Subsidized medical insurance, dental insurance, and commuter benefits
• Paid time off, paid sick days, holidays (paid at time and a half), and a matching 401k plan

Classifications & Supervision

• This is a regular, full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
• 30-40 hours per week
• Supervised by the Cafe Manager
