Job Description
Affords assessments and treatments for health issues through services like case finding, health teaching, and care provision. Carries out medical regimens as directed by licensed physicians. Adheres to Kaleida policies and standards.
Education And Credentials
- NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN required upon hire and maintained.
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 6 months of hire and maintained.
- RN Critical Care - American Academy of Pediatrics or American Heart Association PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire/transfer for RN Critical Care in the Emergency Departments.
- RN Critical Care - American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire/transfer for RN Critical Care in Emergency Departments.
Experience
- RN Critical Care - All Emergency Departments - requires 1 year of acute care experience OR 1 year of EMS or paramedic experience.
- RN Critical Care - Adult - Requires 1 year of previous healthcare or hospital experience.
