About the role
Join SeaWorld as an Ambassador and play an important part on our team, helping bring joy, excitement, and lasting memories to guests while ensuring safety across SeaWorld, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove.
Responsibilities
- Conduct employee and guest accident investigations.
- Update and maintain the accident investigation database, ensuring timely completion of investigations.
- Attend all required safety meetings.
- Assist in developing projects for the EHS/Risk Specialist Team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Certified or able to become certified in Safety department training programs (e.g., Intelex).
- Strong analytical aptitude, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a team environment and manage stressful situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to large groups.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Physically able to walk extensive distances, climb/ascend heights, bend, and lift objects up to 25 lbs.
- Perform physical activities such as kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and fine hand manipulation tasks (e.g., using tools, keyboard, writing).
- Ability to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
- Available to work varying shifts/hours, including opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexible in work locations based on business needs and career development opportunities.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- May be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and temperature extremes.
- Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
Desired Qualifications
- Maintains a positive atmosphere to ensure high team member performance and guest service while enforcing safety procedures.
- Bilingual (preferred).
- Previous theme park experience (preferred).
- Guest Services experience (preferred).
