About the Role
Relation Insurance is seeking a Risk Placement Specialist to support the sales process, focusing on retaining and growing business by providing dependable, accurate, and accessible marketing support. This role partners closely with sales and service teams to promote Relation’s products and services, aiding in both new client acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate referrals to assess alignment with High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) criteria and facilitate appropriate routing to Private Client or Personal Lines.
- Develop and implement renewal strategies based on clients’ risk profiles, market conditions, and carrier options.
- Analyze markets, products, and coverage options to recommend competitively priced solutions tailored to client risk profiles.
- Manage end-to-end new business placement, including preparation, submission, follow-up, and documentation of applications, quotes, and carrier communications.
- Leverage strong carrier and underwriter relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and coverage terms for clients.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive proposals reflecting recommended coverages, premiums, and underwriting outcomes.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to align placement efforts with sales and service objectives.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry for all quotes and proposals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new insurance products to provide valuable insights.
- Fully adopt innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, to deliver a best-in-class client service experience.
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Property and Casualty License from state of domicile (required and must be maintained).
- Four-year degree preferred.
- Preference for individuals with insurance designations (e.g., CPRM, CPRIA, CISR, CIC, CPCU).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting risk placement initiatives in Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office space.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and software.
- Customer-focused with high integrity and excellent work ethic.
- In-depth understanding of personal lines of coverage.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

Pay
$44,000.00 - $115,000.00 annual wage range. Participation in a discretionary annual incentive program may also be available, subject to program rules and performance factors.
