Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain risk management policies consistent with relevant regulations, including relating to the recovery and wind-down plans for CME Group’s clearing services.
- Develop and execute strategic policy positions (e.g., comment letters and talking points) in coordination with other key internal stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and presentation of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., clients and regulatory bodies).
- Support development for major project initiatives within the Clearing House from a policy perspective, including in response to regulatory changes and new business plans.
- Lead the effort to keep CME Clearing's senior management appraised of various regulatory developments affecting the Clearing House.
- Work closely with others within and outside of the Clearing House, including Legal.
- Liaise and build relationships with trade associations as they develop their policy positions, including in response to recent policy proposals.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements for clearing houses and ability to apply that knowledge to Clearing House rules and services.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, political science, or related field.
- Possess strong written communication skills and analytical and problem-solving skills, along with being highly detail oriented with respect to drafting policies and analyzing complex regulatory requirements relative to CME Group’s rules.
- Knowledge of CFTC regulatory requirements and more broadly, knowledge of financial markets and derivatives products.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

- The pay range for this role is $81,100-$135,100. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
