About the Position
The Risk Manager is responsible for supporting and administering the organization’s risk management, insurance, contract administration, and legal coordination functions. This role helps protect organizational assets, reduce financial and operational exposures, coordinate claims and insurance matters, and ensure contracts include appropriate business and risk transfer protections. Working closely with leadership, managers, brokers, carriers, vendors, and outside legal counsel, this position supports compliance, effective risk mitigation, and informed business decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer the organization’s risk management and insurance programs, including property, casualty, workers’ compensation, automobile, and specialty insurance coverages.
- Coordinate insurance renewals, underwriting submissions, policy reviews, audits, certificates of insurance, broker/carrier communications, and insurance budget tracking.
- Evaluate operational, financial, contractual, and insurance-related risks and provide practical recommendations to reduce exposure and support sound business decisions.
