About the role
Specialty Human Services (SHS) within Great American Insurance Group is seeking a year-round Marketing and Risk Management Intern. This position offers part-time hours during the school year with the potential to work full-time during the summer. Based in the downtown Cincinnati headquarters, the schedule is flexible.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the divisional sales & marketing team to learn customer service skills and standards.
- Prepare routine/non-complex correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc., ensuring professional level editing.
- Maintain files, reports, and/or databases.
- Become familiar with department policies and procedures, as well as the business and organization.
- Aid in delivering key risk management resources, including: Learning Management System, Property & Auto Telematics, and other projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and maintain a hybrid schedule.
- Currently enrolled in college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA, preferably majoring in Insurance and Risk Management, Marketing, Sales, or related fields.
- Proven leadership skills through extracurricular activities, internships/co-ops, or work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Teams); knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
- Superior verbal/written communication and analytical skills, along with the ability to multitask.
Qualifications
