Risk Management & Compliance - Technology Investment Governance Vice President
About the Role
As a Vice President in the RM&C Digital Strategy & Enablement team within the Finance & Business Management organization, you will play a key role in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You will partner with senior leaders across Risk Management and Compliance, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Corporate Technology, blending strategy, problem-solving, and collaboration. Your focus will be on providing oversight and governance for technology budgets and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and maximizing return on investment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the technology investment governance framework, aligning with strategic business objectives and maximizing return on investment.
- Drive the annual technology planning and budgeting process in partnership with finance, business, and technology leaders.
- Partner with business leads on well-written annual investment details, develop and oversee a process to review and approve new technology demand throughout the year, and collaborate on business cases during the annual budget.
- Manage the technology investment portfolio, including tracking, reporting, and optimizing spend across projects and products to drive transparency and accountability.
- Standardize how business benefits and return on investment are defined, handle ad-hoc reporting, lead the connectivity of technology portfolio management systems, and translate complex portfolio data into consumable information for stakeholders.
- Serve as a key liaison between technology, finance, and business units to align on investment priorities and support effective decision-making.
- Define and implement standardized practices, frameworks, and governance for the product operating model across Risk Management & Compliance, ensuring consistency in product ownership, lifecycle management, and performance measurement.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and success metrics for technology investments and product operating model effectiveness, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement best practices for investment governance and product management, driving continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Prepare and edit executive-level communications, ensuring clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years' experience managing large technology portfolios.
- Expertise in overseeing budget and resource allocation for technology initiatives.
- Proven track record in leading organizational change initiatives to support new operating models.
- Experience in the analysis, design, and rollout of product operating models.
- Ability to establish standards, frameworks, and best practices across multiple business units or functions.
- Strong collaboration skills with senior stakeholders across technology, finance, business, and compliance.
- Advanced analytical skills to assess complex investment portfolios and identify optimization opportunities.
- Ability to develop actionable recommendations for senior leadership based on portfolio analysis.
- Outstanding judgement and decision-making skills in high-impact environments.
- Advanced problem-solving ability and resourcefulness.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare executive-level materials.
