Description Risk Control Manager - Ontario County, NY Full-time | On-site | $65,000–$70,000/year We’re expanding our Risk Control Department and looking for a compliance centered, Risk Control Manager who can bring their energy and ideas to life across fleet of drivers. If you can think through cross-functional initiatives with a drive to foster a culture of safety, you’ll fit right in. What You’ll Do Champion a company-wide safety culture by educating employees, reinforcing best practices, and ensuring safety becomes part of every department’s daily workflowCoach drivers through positive, skills-based development, using telematics, DOT inspections, and HOS data to help drivers improve performance and remain compliantLead quarterly one-on-one driver coaching sessions focused on safe driving habits, professional growth, and Leonard’s commitment to getting every driver home safelyConduct accident investigations including documentation, reporting, DOT-reportability assessments, and coordination of post-accident proceduresMonitor daily compliance metrics such as HOS violations, telematics alerts, and inspection results, providing timely coaching and corrective guidanceFacilitate weekly safety and orientation training covering HOS rules, accident procedures, and company policiesCoordinate company-wide safety meetings and contribute to new training programs that strengthen driver knowledge and reduce riskCollaborate with Terminal Directors and Driver Advocates to apply the Driver Corrective Action Plan and maintain clear communication on driver performanceSupport injured employees by initiating workers’ compensation claims and ensuring proper reporting and follow-upProvide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to driver and company concerns, including after-hours on-call supportStay current on industry regulations and safety trends, updating internal documentation and advising leadership on key changes What You Bring A sharp eye for detail backed by strong organizational, record-keeping, and time-management skillsClear, professional communication — written, verbal, and interpersonal — with a natural ability to support drivers and internal partnersThe ability to juggle multiple priorities, stay focused under pressure, and consistently meet deadlinesA self-motivated work style that allows you to take ownership of tasks while collaborating seamlessly with the teamA positive, solutions-oriented mindset that helps you coach, problem-solve, and deliver excellent service in every interaction Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum 2 years of verifiable experience in a similar roleExperience in a supervisory position preferredStrong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, & TMW Other Requirements Must be available for on-call duties with either drivers or dispatchOccasional travel for professional development and/or company terminal meetings Why Join Us You’ll be part of a growing, forward-thinking safety department supporting a broad spectrum of drivers, logistics providers, and warehouse personnel.
