Risk Consultant- P&C Insurance
About the role
We are expanding our Risk Consulting & Analytics team within the Swiss Re Risk Data Solutions division by searching for a dedicated professional to deliver analytics and consulting services across the insurance value chain to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Executing and supporting delivery on our client consulting offerings.
- Leading technical analyses and interpreting results to communicate with clients.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplined project teams to drive effective delivery.
- Developing, maintaining, and improving pricing models across P&C lines.
- Interacting and communicating with senior management and diverse client stakeholders.
- Occasional travel to client sites.
Requirements
- Strong technical underwriting/pricing analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Business mindset and can-do attitude.
- Able to assimilate complex information and turn it into actionable insights.
- Expertise in statistical tools, programming languages, and visualization tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL, MS PowerBI).
- Excellent knowledge of the primary insurance market for Property and Casualty lines of business.
- Experience building predictive models in a variety of forms (GLMs, tree-based models, etc.).
- Experience within the context of pricing models highly preferred.
- Consulting background or experience delivering consulting engagements to clients is a strong plus.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years primary Property & Casualty underwriting, predictive modeling, actuarial, or analytics experience.
- Comfort with data analysis and manipulation in at least one programming language in the P&C insurance space.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally.
Skills

Benefits
Our company uses a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred. This position is not eligible for full-time telework, relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.

The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
